I was a precocious boy, asking religious questions of my father and others in his profession; but I could not get answers that satisfied me. So I left home at the age of 16, looking for "the truth"! In the company of an uncle, my father's youngest brother, I wandered around the United States, living on the side of the road, doing odd jobs and spending hours around campfires, wrestling with the issues of life. When I reached twenty-one, I enlisted in the Air Force and became an instructor of radio mechanics, at Scott Field, Illinois! St. Louis was across the river from Scott Field; and I met Rosetta at the Casa Loma Ballroom, during the days of the big bands! I courted her for two years; we got married; and I brought her to my parents' home in California, to begin our life together! Using my G.I. benefits, I went to Pepperdine College, earning approximately two years worth of credits! In the meanwhile, Rosetta and I had Pete, our first son! But I still had many questions about life; and the lure of the road still beckoned! Understandably, Rosetta wanted no part of any such insecurity; she had been a working girl since she was fourteen years old and had every intention of continuing as such; so she took Pete back to St Louis with her and stayed with her mother, while I returned to wandering as a philosophical vagabond! My uncle and I finally made our way to Alaska, where we worked on the Alaskan Railroad along with Mexican laborers, living in the same boxcar with some of them, drinking and dancing with them on weekends! I went home and pestered my parents with more religious questions, in writing, with the addition of abusive language; so my mother had me run through California's "Mental Health Program" at that time, where I suffered sixteen shock treatments, spent time in a VA nuthouse and restored my marriage again, for the simple reason that the VA authorities would not release me to anyone other than my wife! My parents had a beautiful cabin built on the North Shore of Big Bear Lake in Southern California; so for two years Rosetta and I lived in a basement apartment they added for us, while she bore our son Andrew into the world. Rosetta got bronchitis, in Big Bear's snowy winter; so she had to go down and live in "the flatland" again; and there I began working as a machinist, while my wife bore our son William into the world. I got into tool and die making and sired William, our third and youngest son; but my back went out on me. I thought I got healed in a healing ministry and bowed my knee to "Jesus"! But I finally suffered two back operations, without removing the cause of my discomfort - a congenital growth inside my spinal sack, pushing my sciatic nerve to one side! The neurological surgeon did relieve much of the pain, however, by clearing out space around the nerve where it emerges from the lowest vertebra of my spine! So I began helping our son Andrew with his work as a computer genius, while conducting a ministry for my family and a few interested friends! I reached retirement age and began ministering through my websites! For the past thirty-four years I have been a student of Yehovaw's Holy Bible! Now I see myself as an Israeli pastor; and my ministry for Him is now directed through five websites: HonorHisLaw.com, MyDreamatLast.com, Powerful Achievement.com, HonorHisSons.com and BrightReeves.com Amen! Alleluia! |
